The 800th anniversary of Saint Francis of Assisi will be a milestone in 2026.  Pope Leo at the Vatican stated that in 2026 from Feb. 22nd to March 22nd, 2026, the sacred Relics of Saint Francis will be displayed so that Catholics can make a pilgrimage to Assisi.  Pope Leo from the Vatican had a chance to visit the tomb of Saint Francis of Assisi on 11/20/25.  Pope Leo prayed for peace in the world.  Saint Francis of Assisi is known as the patron saint of ecology, nature, animals and peace. He is the patron saint for the country of Italy.
