Our Lady of Lourdes

Every February 11th, we remember the story of Saint Bernadette Soubirous.  She saw the apparition of the Virgin Mary (Our Lady of Lourdes), in France, 18 times.  Our Lady gave Bernadette the healing waters of Lourdes, where millions of people go to this grotto every year to pray and drink from this water to cure their illness and sickness.  Saint Bernadette died on April 16th, 1879 of tuberculosis.  Her body was exhumed three times in 1909, 1919 and 1925 and was found to be incorrupt.  Saint Bernadette is the patron saint for the sick and those with any illness.  Of the thousands of miracles reported by people of being cured of illness and sickness at Lourdes, the Vatican has only confirmed 72 cures that has been officially been recognized as miracles by the Catholic Church.  Please click on the link below to read the story.
